The Club is a Mess

My last blog asked a question before the Spurts game. It wondered if a corner had been turned. I think we now know it definitely hasn’t! We have probably continued to walk straight past the corner and into a large mound of steaming dung!

A Soap Opera

What a week we are having. We were beaten comfortably by Spurts. Fans are emptying the stadium, and rightly so. The protest is gathering momentum. The club is issuing statements. There are rumours of Nuno meeting the Goblin and Palace tomorrow.

The Spurts game continued in the same vein as the Sunderland and Chelsea games. Once we concede one goal, we let the opposition play football. Our players grind to a halt and become spectators. Well at least that means some people in claret and blue stay to the end and watch to the final whistle!

The protest is gathering momentum, and I am so glad to see it. I hope its massively supported by all fans going to the game. I want the route to the stadium to be packed with fans. This will show Sullivan and Brady they can’t treat us like customers. You are merely financial custodians. IT IS OUR CLUB.

I also hope the Burnley game is boycotted by all season ticket holders and true fans. I would love to see the soulless bowl empty in front of the SKY cameras. It will also let everyone see that without true fans the club is nothing!

Club Statement

The club must be starting to worry. However, it seems it is only slightly concerned with the half arsed ‘message to all West Ham United supporters’.

They are experts in back patting themselves and deflection! If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have been in European competition three years in a row. Forget the fact we neglected to strengthen our squad or move ahead from that feat. But that was the fault of the scouting network and player recruitment department. The areas they were in charge of! But it’s ok. ‘Steps have already been taken to implement a new strategy and approach’. Why did we not do this after we won the European Conference League?

Another ‘master stroke’ was the mentioning of Mark Noble. What better way of quietening the discontent than by mentioning Mr West Ham. This makes us think about him and his commitment to the club. We should be the same. The problem being we are not stupid and don’t fall for their heartstrings technique!

They reckon they ‘have also listened to supporters’ individual and collective views around their perception of our London Stadium’ and are ‘already working with supporters to address their feedback’. We have been providing feedback since 2016 does it really take 9 years to implement some of this feedback?

I could go on and on. However, the playing squad and stadium are the main things I struggle with at the minute. It is a disgrace we are still banging the same drum. The main issue is Sullivan and Brady don’t give a damn. They are completely incompetent at running a football club correctly. They are only in it for the profile and to try to make money.

Rumours are rife Sullivan has approached Nuno. Does he never learn? Remember them trying to get Martin O’Neill in to replace Grant. How embarrassing was that! Sack a manager first before treating them with utter contempt by doing this in the public eye. I understand you have to actively be looking for a replacement. But you don’t have to leak it to media sources all as a vanity stunt!

So, Palace tomorrow. I’ll be chilling the Guinness and setting myself in front of the TV at 3pm. I don’t hold out much hope or a win.

Unless, of course, the protest can have some effect on the team arriving to the ground. Hopefully they see just how much the club means to us. They should then realise they are in a privileged position to play for the club we love! All we ask is they play like they are one of us!
